The granulate trap is designed so that all water passes through a mesh bag, which captures the granules. The mesh bag is replaceable and is also available in stainless steel as an option. The granulate trap features a bypass function to prevent flooding during high flow rates.
The granulate trap is placed under a grate in a suitable cover, such as the MIA 315 EVO or equivalent, where the cover runs on the inside of a 315 mm pipe, or it can be mounted with the included spacer ring just below the cover. For a 315 mm pipe, a split spacer ring of 295 mm is used.
There is a suspension device available for wells made of concrete. The vertical position of the granulate trap in the well can be adjusted with both the spacer ring and the suspension device, depending on the material on the inside of the well.
The granulate trap with the collected granules should be able to be lifted out and emptied by hand for easy maintenance. After installation and maintenance, the need for sludge removal with a vacuum truck should cease.
